How to choose a permanent makeup artist
By Elena Cruz · April 10, 2026

The single most useful thing you can do is look at an artist's healed work — not just fresh, day-of photos. Healed results show how the pigment settles weeks later, which is what you'll actually live with.
Check that the artist is licensed and works in a clean, dedicated space. Read recent reviews, and ask to see examples on skin and brows similar to yours. A consultation before booking is normal and worth doing.
Compare a few artists side by side on style, price, and availability. Every PMUBook profile links to portfolios, reviews, and contact details so you can shortlist quickly.
